General notes<\/h4>\n

-Many stores\/resturants accept credit cards and contactless payments, but some places still only accept cash.
\n-Most people working in service jobs can speak at least some English, and many places have English signs\/menus.\u00a0 Outside of Taipei there is less English.
\n-Taxis are plentiful and not expensive, and Uber is also widely used
\n-The MRT (metro), buses, trains, and high speed rail are clean, safe, and inexpensive
\n-Although you should always be aware of your surroundings and possessions, Taipei is generally very safe<\/p>\n
